The caregivers who staff UTMB's clinics and hospitals provide a comprehensive range of health care services. Areas of clinical excellence include: geriatric services, behavioral medicine, diabetes care, and the UTMB HeartCenter. UTMB is also designated a Level 1 Trauma Center and is the lead trauma facility for a nine-county region of southeast Texas.
